Have you seen our WWI exhibit and trench? In it we feature stories, photos, and artifacts from many nations and of course Michigan stories. One such story is Captain Joe Bachus of Harbor Springs. Cpt. Bachus served in the Navy, the Marines, and the Army before retiring as a Colonel after WWII. He was also a Panama Canal Zone Police Officer while it was being completed. He led an amazing life and you can come to get a copy of “Into No Man’s Land” a book about his life written by his Grandson Rich Bachus. You can also check out some other WWI related pop-culture links in the comments below, and maybe add some of your own!
